The victim, Brayan David Saldarriaga, died after being attacked in Hackney on Monday evening. Police were called to Towpath Walk shortly after 7:15pm following reports of a large disturbance involving a group of people.

Officers later found Brayan, who was from Haringey, in nearby Poplar Close suffering from stab wounds. Despite efforts by emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

She also appealed for witnesses and anyone who recorded the gathering or incident on mobile phones to come forward, saying such evidence could prove crucial to the investigation.
