Two teenagers killed, three critically injured in tragic A13 crash?

A profound wave of shock has gripped the local Desi community after a catastrophic multi-vehicle collision on the A13 Newham Way on Thursday evening left two teenagers dead and three others injured. The Daily Dazzling Dawn confirms that at least three individuals are from the British South Asian community.

The ripples of the incident are being felt deeply across the close-knit local Desi community, where daily dazzling dawn has learned from local sources that one of the vehicle's young occupants has been identified as Adyan, the teenage son of Mr. Bahar, a respected resident of Stratton Drive in Upney. Distressed community members, speaking directly to journalists, shared the heartbreaking news that Adyan and a close friend are believed to have succumbed to their injuries, while the remaining three passengers—including one of two brothers inside the vehicle—are left fighting for survival.

Emergency services responded to reports of a collision on the eastbound carriageway at approximately 8:15 PM on Thursday, June 25. A vehicle involved in the incident was subsequently engulfed in a fierce blaze.

Despite the best efforts of first responders, two young men—aged 18 and 19—were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that their next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specialized officers.

Three other individuals were rushed to a hospital by the London Ambulance Service. Among them is a 16-year-old boy who remains in a life-threatening condition.

According to accounts from local community members, a passing family risked their own safety, arriving at the scene moments before emergency services to pull young occupants from the burning wreckage.

The incident triggered an extensive overnight road closure on the arterial route between the A112 Prince Regent Lane in Canning Town and the A117 High Street South at the Beckton Flyover, allowing specialized teams to preserve crucial forensic evidence.

Adding further strain to the area's emergency infrastructure, community sources noted that a secondary, separate traffic accident occurred shortly afterward on High Street North (E12), near Ali Cash and Carry, requiring separate police units to manage the scene.

The Metropolitan Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit has launched a full inquiry. Authorities have confirmed that three men—aged 18, 19, and 23—have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop. They remain in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector James Beck issued a statement expressing condolences and appealing to the public:

“Our thoughts remain with the victim's loved ones following this tragic incident. As we work to build a picture of the circumstances, we are keen to hear from any witnesses to the collision – particularly those with dashcam footage.”

Police also noted they are aware of videos circulating on social media showing the aftermath of the burning vehicle. They have strongly urged members of the public to be respectful, exercise restraint, and refrain from sharing the footage further.

The ripples of the tragedy are being felt deeply across East London's close-knit Desi community, particularly across Barking and Upney, where local volunteer networks and faith groups are establishing immediate emotional support structures for the traumatized relatives.

While community sources have shared deeply distressing accounts identifying local youths among the occupants, official names have not yet been formally released by authorities out of respect for the families and ongoing legal proceedings.
