The man accused of killing aesthetician and industry campaigner Vikki Soloman has been named as Lee Greenan, 46, after appearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday, July 23.
Greenan faced three charges: murder, assault to injury, and assault. He made no plea and was remanded in custody, with his next court appearance scheduled within eight days.
Reporting from local outlets including BBC News and the Edinburgh Evening News has confirmed that Greenan was Soloman's partner.
Emergency services were called to Soloman's residence at 35 Craigievar Square, East Craigs, at approximately 8:45 PM on Monday, July 20. She was discovered with critical injuries and pronounced dead at the scene.
Greenan, who resides locally, was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Police Scotland has confirmed there is no wider risk to the public.
Soloman was more than a beauty professional — she was a driving force behind the Non-Surgical Procedures Bill, which passed on March 17, 2026, following her parliamentary advocacy. Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP praised her as a "proud ambassador" with "effervescent charm".
Floral tributes continue to grow outside her home as friends remember a devoted mother of two boys and "the kindest human".
A post-mortem examination is scheduled, with findings to be submitted to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.
