Prior to this, all previous records for the high value of the pound against the taka were passed on November 6. Then it rose to 151 taka. Several money transfer businesses have spoken Thursday afternoon. Against the taka, the value of the pound was 149 yesterday. On Thursday morning, the transaction started at 150 taka higher than the previous day.

The record exchange rate of money against the pound has created panic in the community.

Commenting on this matter, Mahbubur Rahman Shiblu, the owner of PBL Services Limited, a money transfer company in London, said that there has been a stir in the community seeing so much exchange value. Even after the rate of 150 taka, the government is giving more incentives.

However, the depreciating value of money against the pound is a picture of the poor state of Bangladesh's economy, which is worrying for us as Bangladeshis.
