A human chain organised by the UK-based human rights organisation Stand for Human Rights was held at Shaheed Altab Ali Park on Tuesday afternoon, July 23, to protest against the killing of students and innocent people by the Sheikh Hasina government, police, BGB, and Chhatra League (a student wing of the ruling party).

Stand for Human Rights President and student leader Sadrul Islam Lukman presided over the event, which was presented by General Secretary Minhajul Abedin Raza. BNP Chairperson’s advisor MA Malek was present as the chief guest and spoke against Sheikh Hasina’s tyranny. Md. Nizam Uddin Chairman, Belal Khan,Abu Bakkar Siddique, Azizur Rahman, Rafiqul Islam,  Eman Khan,  Mahi Chowdhury, Captain Shaon, Raju Ahmed, Rohan Tariq, Organizing Secretary Mujahidul Islam Bappi, Joint Organizing Secretary Nobel Ahmed Rahel, Md. Minhaj Haque, Md. Mohiuddin Ridwan, Abu Saleh, Saiful Islam, Md. Noor Uddin,  Syed Jewell, Mizanur Rahman, Zakaria Ahmad Al Amin, Theory and Research Secretary Md. Sultan Khan, and Senior Members Al Imran Ahmad, Zainul Hossain, Shaon Zaigirdar, Zubair Ahmad, as well as General Members Md. Ujjal Alam Chowdhury, Mahfuzzaman Sourav, Amin Akbar Abir, Zakir, Saheed, Mahbub Hussain, Noor Nabi, Fahad Hussain, Sajib Ahmad, Naeem Ahmad, Golam Kibria Sumon, Tanveer Ahmad Tushar, Md. Nazmul Hossain, Ebadur Rahman Chowdhury, Khaled Nur Rahman, Jumanul Islam, Saifur Rahman, Noor Alam, Mosahidul Islam, Ashraful Haque Nasim, Izzadur Rahman, Al Juned, Mohammad Shahjahan Kabir, and others were present at the event. Md. Jamil Ahmad recited from the Holy Quran at the beginning of the ceremony.
