I believe whoever is famous world-wide will do something for the country, at least for justice with his own name and fame.
During the 2007 caretaker tenure, Dr. Yunus also started the process of forming a political party just five months after receiving the Nobel Prize. Still, for the past sixteen years, Dr. Yunus has shown no desire to enter politics openly. But, because of wanting to enter politics, Sheikh Hasina's government kept him on the run with Grameen Bank's tax evasion and corruption cases.
After the fall of Sheikh Hasina, there was none capable than Dr. Yunus at this moment. Dr. Yunus is now 84 years old. He was the only person in Bangladesh who was considered fit to head a non-partisan government for more than twenty years. And if he is alive after five years, he will be 89 years old. At the age of 89, he will almost certainly have nothing left to give to the country.
Since being in power for the last 16 years, Sheikh Hasina has treated Yunus as the threat after BNP-Jamaat. The 84-year-old teacher was taken from door to door by the court. Previous government attempted to put him in jail. But Dr. Yunus did not leave the country or the field. With a strong spirit, he has done his work even in the face of continuous government restrictions. Dr. Yunus has maintained the unwavering support of the United States of America and European countries on the Bangladesh issue for at least 16 years. There is no other internationally known person in the country than Dr. Yunus. Dr. Yunus is the person whose formula of microcredit is taught in many country's. His successful formula is practiced all over the world. He taught the world the right of poor people to get loans without any collateral.
Among the countries that have undergone a change of power with US support in recent times, including Pakistan, Bangladesh has been in the least visible way. I think Dr. Yunus has not endured so much in the past to put just someone else in power after few days. And at this age, he not only took responsibility for the transition of power. He has the opportunity and the ability to do something good for the country. In the speech after taking responsibility, it seems that he is superstitious.
Let's hope. I hope it will not happen like the caretaker government of the last 1/11; a few advisers will have to resign from this government after a few months.
The Country's economy is in dire straits. The standard of ethics in the country's politics is gradually going down. The culture of healthy choices has passed. Professionals are divided into bare partisanship and favoritism. Dr. Yunus has taken responsibility in a dire situation. But the reality is,He doesn't have much time to prove what he can do for Bangladesh. It doesn't matter who the advisers are doing. The fact is, the head of this government is now Dr. Yunus. It is the government of people like him who are respected all over the world.
We have seen in public that the army has been supporting Dr. Yunus since the beginning. Common people are also supporting. People of the country are disappointed with corruption, nepotism, and money laundering abroad. Creating employment opportunities for the youth is essential. Efforts at meaningful, positive integrated change are needed. At least the beginning of the change of the broken system by holding his hand is the hope of the people.
I believe whoever is famous world-wide will do something for the country, at least for justice with his own name and fame. There is no one, no party in the country now who can say the words aimed at India in the first interview Yunus told boldly before taking charge. The whole world, including India, immediately congratulated the new government.
9 of the advisors are from Dhaka University, 3 from Chittagong University, and 1 from Salimullah Medical College. I do not know whether journalist Nurul Kabir, Professor Salimullah Khan, and Professor Ali Riaz Sir were invited by Dr. Yunus as advisors to the government or not. Ali Riaz, sir, might not have come. But Anu Muhammad or a direct teacher of his generation could have been represented. Because they are Bangladeshi intellectuals who are the most acceptable intellectuals of our country today. A number of less controversial and relatively qualified people were likely to occupy advisory positions. But the Chief Adviser prioritised hid trusted ones.
The LGBT community will get more benefits under the new government. Because the number of NGO representatives among the advisors is significant.
A section of civil society was influential in the beginning of the last caretaker government. In turn, a section of the media also said it was their government. They are trying to integrate themselves and remain very nearly by this government also.
The new government has more successful, relatively clean people in their respective sectors. There is also a controversial face as an advisor to the government. He is also accused of torturing his daughter-in-law. But there is not a single person who does not have a name in the Goodbook of the United States.
Those who have become advisors and chief advisors are morally barred from participating in the next elections as they are in the interim government. People hope that they will do some good work for the country without forming a new political party.
The request for the release of BNP's Apu, Mamun, Babar has been made by Tarek Rahman himself, this is the idea of people all over the country.
A lot of bad things have happened in the country in the last few days before the formation of the new government. Along with robberies, the country's top print and electronic media's changed the lineups overnight. Our opportunistic society is rapidly changing.
I'd like to give the main advisor at least a few days to do something good. The Chief Advisor has kept 27 important ministries in his hands. There is an opportunity to quickly add some new people as needed. He left the opportunity to work in his own hands.
Sheikh Hasina had arranged everything in administration, textbooks, history in the last sixteen years as her own words. But the reality is, She also has to flee.
It has proved to be the hope of the good political change expected by people rather than the fabricated story of development. Politics governs everything. So in politics, as long as the relatively good people of the society do not come forward, nothing good Will possible.
As a professional journalist, my job is to find answers to the questions on the public mind.
Ethical journalism never has any political tag, never should.
Even if there is a change in power, the situation will change for ethical, professional journalists; I never hope that high.
Even during this movement, just few days ago the shameless brokering of civil society, journalists, and artists hasshocked the common people by there movement.
On the contrary, even if the brand or face of power changes many times, I hope to see the long line of faces of people who lead the way without changing the moral ideals, ethics.
We don't just want a change of faces in power. Be the foundation for meaningful positive change. If the country's government, politicians are good and if corruption can be reduced, it will take only 5 years for Bangladesh to become Malaysia.
