Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen stated that China will not meddle in Bangladesh's domestic issues.
After meeting with BNP officials today (August 21) at the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan, he delivered this statement.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, along with members of the Standing Committee Abdul Moyeen Khan and Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, attended the meeting.
Following the meeting, the Chinese ambassador said that the BNP discussion was productive and that the two parties would continue to work together.
He gave his word that China will not meddle in domestic affairs in Bangladesh and conveyed his optimism for the country's stability and future growth.
He anticipated that everything would soon return to normal and backed the temporary administration.
According to Mirza Fakhrul Islam, the BNP was happy to finally see the ambassador and valued China's continued support for the Bangladeshi people.
"China will support Bangladesh in the current geopolitical environment. The Chinese ambassador wished Tarique Rahman and Khaleda Zia the very best," he continued.
