Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) former president Nazmul Hasan Papon has been seen in London. It is known that other leaders of Awami League from Bangladesh are staying at the homes of their own or relatives or close activists after coming to Britain, but Papon is staying in an exclusive hotel in Central London. He was seen shopping at Sainsbury's, a superstore near the hotel, on Tuesday.

After the change of government in Bangladesh, former MPs and leaders of the Awami League came to Britain and sought political asylum. The rest came on various visas, including multiple-entry tourist and investor visas. Former MP Nazrul Islam Babu is in Switzerland.

There are leaders in different countries of Europe, including Portugal. Many are in Saudi Arabia on year-round visas. Many powerful Awami League leaders have been seen in Middle Eastern countries, including Dubai, in recent times. So far, several leaders have been confirmed to seek political asylum in Britain. Former Awami League MPs Ranjit Chandra Sarkar and Bidhan Kumar Saha are among them. Among them, the asylum application of one person has been approved.

He is now in the process of bringing his wife and child to Britain, Daily Dazzling Dawn has confirmed. Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury is in London with his family. Former minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Jabed, Bangladesh Awami League presidium member Abdur Rahman, former cabinet secretary and Awami League election management committee co-chairman Kabir Bin Anwar are also in London.

Some of the leaders who have come to the UK are going to party functions in London and interacting with the activists. Again, many are quietly spending time with family members, avoiding activists.
