She is now recognized as the first Bangladeshi-American elected Justice in the United States and the first Muslim Judge in Queens, New York City. Her judicial career began in 2021 when she was elected as a New York City Civil Court Judge from Queens County. Born in the Tangail district of Bangladesh, Judge Saeed currently resides in Queens, New York, with her husband, Mizan Chowdhury, who played a pivotal role in her campaign. Mizan Chowdhury, born in Moulvibazar, Bangladesh, is an IT expert, political strategist, and community activist in New York State.

A Legacy of Leadership and Commitment to Justice-Judge Saeed is renowned for her unwavering commitment to diversity, representation, and justice. She has held several key leadership positions within New York's legal arena, including Co-Chair of the NYC Equal Justice Implementation Committee (EJIC) in Queens, a member of the NYC Access to Justice Committee, and a Board Member of the Asian American Judges Association of New York. Notably, she also served as the first South Asian and Muslim woman President of the Queens County Women's Bar Association.

Family Roots and Community Dedication-Judge Saeed first ventured into politics with a New York City Council election, supported by her husband's steadfast assistance, which eventually paved the way for her greater achievements. Her father, Aftab Uddin Saeed, was a Magistrate in Bangladesh, and her mother was a Head Teacher.
