London is preparing for a stretch of 10 consecutive rainy days following a brief spell of sunshine as autumn settles in. While this week’s sunny intervals will bring a pleasant weekend — with Saturday and Sunday both expected to reach highs of 15°C under mostly clear skies — the weather will soon shift dramatically.
Starting Monday, November 10, heavy rain is forecast to arrive early in the morning and continue throughout the day, with drizzle lingering into Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to hover around 13–14°C, according to BBC Weather.
The downpour isn’t expected to ease quickly either — forecasters predict a prolonged spell of rain lasting through the following week. The heaviest rainfall is likely on Monday, November 10; Thursday, November 13; and Saturday, November 15, with lighter, persistent showers filling the days in between.
BBC Weather reported:
“Today will begin cloudy and wet as rain moves in from the south, easing in the afternoon before more showers develop later. Tonight will remain cloudy, with rain clearing northwards before fresh showers arrive from the south overnight. Tomorrow will bring variable cloud, some bright spells, and light rain, becoming cloudy again later with further showers.”
The weekend should offer some relief: Saturday will start with cloud and mist before brightening up in the afternoon, leading to clear skies by evening. Sunday will stay mild, though clouds will increase later, bringing patchy evening rain. By Monday, the weather turns wet, breezy, and unsettled once again.
