July revolutionary Sharif Osman Hadi has passed away (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un). The information was announced on Thursday (18 December) in a short message posted on Osman Hadi’s verified Facebook page.
The post on his verified Facebook page stated that Allah has accepted the great revolutionary Osman Hadi as a martyr for standing up against Indian hegemony.
Last Friday (12 December), at around 2:30 pm, Osman Hadi was shot by miscreants riding a motorcycle while he was in a battery-powered rickshaw on Box Culvert Road in Purana Paltan.
After the incident, Hadi was first taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he underwent an operation. He was then transferred to Evercare Hospital. As his condition did not improve there, he was taken on Monday to Singapore General Hospital for advanced treatment.
