A multi-vehicle collision has severely disrupted traffic on the northern arc of the London orbital motorway this afternoon, triggering prolonged delays for Sunday motorists.

The incident, which occurred on the M25 clockwise carriage between Junction 24 at Potters Bar and Junction 25 near Enfield, has forced the emergency closure of lanes two, three, and four. Traffic officers and recovery operators are managing the scene, where tailbacks have rapidly accumulated to over six miles on the approach.

A spokesperson for the response team told journalists that emergency services are assessing the situation to ensure a safe clear-up process. Present estimates indicate that standard road conditions are unlikely to resume for several hours as crews clear the vehicles and check the structural integrity of the carriageway.

In reports obtained by Daily Dazzling Dawn, the impact of the disruption is stretching well beyond the immediate incident zone, with rubbernecking and onward congestion slowing down traffic moving in the opposite anticlockwise direction. Commuters are strongly urged to seek alternative routes via the A1(M) or local arterial networks to circumvent the ongoing 60-minute delays.
