Emergency services rushed to Kingsway Recreation Ground in Luton shortly after 6:30 PM on Friday following reports of violent disorder. Eyewitnesses reported seeing "a number of teenagers" carrying "large knives."
A 17-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital with multiple stab wounds but was tragically pronounced dead a short time later. While formal identification has not yet taken place, the victim’s family is currently being supported by specially trained officers.
Two teenage boys initially arrested on Friday on suspicion of violent disorder have now been further arrested on suspicion of murder.
- Suspect 1: Currently remains in police custody for questioning.
- Suspect 2: Remains under police guard in the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
