A 48-year-old man is scheduled to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday, 10 August, after being formally charged with three counts of sexual assault of a child in the Alum Rock area of Birmingham.

The accused, Shazad Malik, remains in police custody following his arrest by officers on Friday. The criminal charges follow an investigation initiated after local residents raised serious concerns regarding a video circulating across social media platforms.

Daily Dazzling Dawn understands that law enforcement authorities launched swift inquiries upon receiving reports from community members, leading directly to the suspect being detained and brought into custody.

Investigating officers expressed gratitude to the local community for bringing the footage to their attention and assisting with the initial inquiries. Authorities emphasized that ongoing public co-operation remains vital as the legal process moves into the judicial phase.

With Malik set to stand before magistrates on Monday, institutional steps are under way to present the case before the court. Strictly verified information regarding the suspect’s personal background, official status, and full proceedings will form part of the evidence submitted as the judicial process unfolds.

Legal experts note that under strict UK court reporting guidelines and sub judice rules, further details regarding the evidence or the content of the online video cannot be published to prevent any prejudice to upcoming proceedings. Further directions and potential bail or remand decisions are expected during Monday's court hearing.
