Seven Police Service of Northern Ireland officers were assaulted during five separate incidents while policing major music events in Belfast on Sunday.
But how did the attacks unfold?
Three officers were assaulted near the Emerge festival at Boucher Road Playing Fields after police approached a teenage boy who had reportedly been seen carrying bottles of alcohol. Police said the teenager became aggressive, allegedly kicking officers during the confrontation.
In another incident, how was a police officer knocked to the ground after officers approached a 22-year-old man suspected of concealing drugs?
The remaining assaults happened near Custom House Square, where officers were policing the CHSq music event. One officer suffered a significant arm injury after allegedly being bitten, while another required hospital treatment following an attack from behind that caused a serious knee injury.
A further officer was allegedly targeted by a man who attempted to punch him before being charged with assault on police.
Police said all of the reported assaults would be investigated rigorously. Two people have already been charged and are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court next month.
The incidents have raised fresh questions about the risks faced by frontline officers while policing large public events across Belfast.
