Firefighters are continuing to tackle a blaze which broke out inside a fourth-floor tenement flat in Possilpark, Glasgow.
Six fire engines and specialist resources were sent to Stonyhurst Street after the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at around 4.50pm. Firefighting operations remained ongoing as crews worked to bring the incident under control.
Images shared on social media appeared to show flames emerging from the roof of a tenement building on Stonyhurst Street.
The property was covered in scaffolding at the time of the fire, with refurbishment work being carried out on buildings in the area.
NG Homes was understood to be in the process of refurbishing and upgrading a number of properties along the street when the fire broke out.
The presence of scaffolding around the building added to the complexity of the incident as firefighters worked at the affected property.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service deployed six fire engines alongside specialist resources to deal with the blaze.
Crews remained at the scene as firefighting efforts continued, with the service monitoring the situation and working to prevent the fire from spreading further.
