Why Has a Virgin Atlantic Flight With 270 Passengers Been Forced to Turn Back?

A Virgin Atlantic flight carrying 270 passengers from Bengaluru to London Heathrow has been forced to turn back shortly after take-off after the crew detected a technical issue on board. Flight VS317 departed Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru at around 08:20 local time on 6 September before returning to the airport as a precaution.

The aircraft remained airborne for more than 30 minutes before landing safely back at Bengaluru. Passengers subsequently disembarked after Virgin Atlantic cancelled the service.
