A Bangladeshi woman named Kulsuma Akhter Shiuly has lost her life after being stabbed by her husband in Bradford, a Bangladeshi-populated city in the United Kingdom. Her village house is in Bishwanath upazila of Sylhet.
Akhtar Hossain, the brother of the deceased Shiuly, living in Oldham, United Kingdom, complained on Monday and said that her sister's husband Habibur Rahman Masum stabbed her with a knife in front of her 5-month-old baby son last Saturday afternoon uk time. Masum has been absconding since this incident.

According to the police and the victim's family, Masum and Shiuly came to the UK from Bishwanath in Sylhet two years ago. Masum came on student visa and wife Shiuly came as Masum's dependent. The couple initially lived in the Oldham area. When their family quarrel started, at one stage it reached to the police. The police later arranged for Shewley to be moved out of her own home by social services to a safe place in Bradford. But husband Masum disobeyed the police's prohibition and started following Shiuly's activities. On the day of the incident, before Iftar, Shiuly went out to buy food with her infant son. At that time, Masum, attacked Shiuly with a sharp knife.
Akhter Hossain, the brother of the deceased Shiuly, has asked for everyone's cooperation to arrest his sister's killer. After the post-mortem of Shiuly, a decision will be taken regarding funeral and burial.

Det Ch Insp Stacey Atkinson said: "We have had significant resources following up a number of lines of inquiry to locate Habibur Masum but at this time his whereabouts are unknown.
"I would urge anyone who does see him not to approach him but to call 999 immediately."
He is also believed to have links to the Burnley and Chester areas.
Det Ch Insp Atkinson said the death of a young woman in "such shocking circumstances" has caused "considerable concern" in the community, adding that residents could expect to see more police officers in Bradford.
