2024 UK Election: Sunak and Starmer Compete for PM
Voters across the UK will cast ballots in a snap general election called by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Polls indicate that Sunak's Conservative Party may lose to Keir Starmer's Labour Party after 14 years in power.
Polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm local time (06:00 GMT to 21:00 GMT). Voters will elect 650 lawmakers, and the party with a majority in the House of Commons will form the next government, with its leader becoming prime minister.
