Miladunnabi is being celebrated all over the country on the holy Eid.
Around the day, Milad and Doa Mahfil have been organized in mosques and madrasas across the country on Monday (September 16). The Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was born on the 12th of Hijri Rabiul Awal.
On this day in 570 AD, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who was sent as a mercy to mankind, was born in the arms of mother Amina in the noble Quraish clan of the city of Mecca, Arabia. His death anniversary is also on the same day. According to the Hijri calendar, this day is celebrated as Miladunnabi in Eid. The world Muslim community including Bangladesh observes this day as Miladunnabi in the holy Eid. On the occasion of Eid Miladunnabi, a peace rally and seminar was organized at Ramnar Engineers Institution and Shaheed Suhrawardy Udyan on Monday morning. At noon they took out a procession from in front of Engineers Institution to Shahbagh. Many people begin their day-long activities by reciting the Qur'an after the Fajr prayer.

Various government/non-governmental organizations are conducting various programs to celebrate Miladunnabi on the holy Eid with religious solemnity.
These programs include discussions on the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Milad and Dua Mahfil. On the occasion of Miladunnabi (PBUH) celebration on the holy Eid, all the hospitals, prisons, government children's homes, old age homes, drug addiction treatment centers are serving good food.
Yesterday Sunday (September 14) after Maghrib, at the east gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Advisor to the Ministry of Religious Affairs AFM Khalid Hossain inaugurated the program as the chief guest. Programs include Waj, Milad and Dua Mahfil, Seminars, Islamic Cultural Competition, Arabic Khutba Writing Competition, Kirat Mahfil, Hamd-Naat, Poetry Recitation Mahfil, Islamic Calligraphy Exhibition, Islamic Book Fair, Special Memorabilia and Publications.
