Frequent wintery showers are expected to be covering the country from November 18 to 27, according to the Met Office long range forecast. This will hit mainly in the north of the UK, as well as eastern and western coasts which are exposed to the northwesterly flow.
Earlier today, the Met Office issued a new 17-hour alert for ice, warning of increased risks of slips, falls and travel disruptions overnight.
Residents have been urged to exercise caution, allow extra travel time and stick to main roads when walking or driving, as these are more likely to be gritted.
Snow has already arrived in large parts of the United Kingdom - with swathes of England and Scotland hit by flurries.
