Former Bangladesh cricket captain Tamim Iqbal has been placed on life support after suffering a heart attack during a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) grounds.
The 36-year-old cricketer, who was representing Mohammedan Sporting Club, collapsed on the field after complaining of severe chest pain while playing against Shinepukur Cricket Club. Medical staff immediately rushed to his aid before he was transported to a nearby hospital. Doctors have since confirmed that he suffered a massive cardiac arrest and remains in critical condition under intensive care.
