This information was confirmed by Azad Mazumder, Deputy Press Secretary to Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
The meeting took place at the hotel where Professor Muhammad Yunus is currently staying, his deputy press secretary stated.
Attendees included Apsana Begum, the Bangladeshi-origin British MP and Chairperson of the group, along with group members Lord Hussain, Bangladeshi-origin MP Rupa Huq, and Baroness Pola Manzila Uddin, among other parliamentarians. However, two other British MPs of Bangladeshi origin, Rushanara Ali and Tulip Siddiq, were not present at the meeting.
What is an APPG?
All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal, cross-party groups formed by Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of the House of Lords who share a common interest in a particular policy area, region, or country. APPGs hold no official status within Parliament.
