Transport for London (TfL) has released a full list of transport disruptions scheduled across the network this weekend, Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15. Several rail and Underground services will face closures or reduced operations as maintenance and improvement works take place.
Passengers using the Elizabeth line should expect major changes. Due to planned maintenance by Network Rail, trains will not run between Shenfield and Stratford throughout the weekend. Replacement bus services will operate along this section to help passengers complete their journeys.
The closure will also affect the Liberty line on the London Overground, meaning trains will not operate between Romford and Upminster during the same period.
In addition to these disruptions, parts of four London Underground lines will be partially closed over the weekend while engineering work is carried out. TfL has advised commuters to check their routes in advance and allow extra time for travel.
Further disruption is expected on Sunday when the entire Suffragette line on the London Overground will be closed between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside. This shutdown is necessary to allow track maintenance and safety improvements to be completed.
Overall, the weekend engineering work will impact five London Overground lines, several sections of the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), and parts of the Underground network.
TfL has encouraged passengers to plan ahead, use alternative routes where possible, and check the latest travel updates before setting out.
