Four Bangladeshi Expat Brothers Found Dead Inside a Car in Oman

The bodies of four Bangladeshi expatriate brothers from Rangunia, Chattogram, were recovered from inside a car in Oman. Their bodies were found last night, Wednesday, in the Muladdah area of Oman.

The four brothers are Muhammad Rashed, Muhammad Sahed, Muhammad Siraj, and Muhammad Shahid. They hailed from Bandarazar Para in Lalanagar Union, Rangunia.

According to family sources, two of the brothers were scheduled to return to Bangladesh the following day, Friday. The four brothers had gone out together in a car for shopping. During this trip, their bodies were discovered inside the car. Preliminary speculation suggests that a toxic gas may have spread inside the vehicle, which may have caused their deaths.

Mohammad Yasin Chowdhury, president of the Chattogram Association in Oman, stated that the four brothers were in the Barka area of Oman on Wednesday evening. Later, they set off toward Muladdah. Their bodies were found in a car parked in front of a clinic there.

Yasin Chowdhury further mentioned that after 8 PM, one of the brothers sent a voice message to a relative in Barka, saying that they were feeling very ill and could not get out of the car. They also shared their location. That night, two Bangladeshi expatriates noticed the four brothers unconscious inside the parked car in Muladdah and informed the police. The police then opened the car and recovered the bodies.

He said, “It is believed that they had gone to the clinic in the car to receive treatment after feeling unwell. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. We are staying in constant contact with the victims’ families.”

Amir Hossain, a member of Lalanagar Union Parishad, said that the deaths of the four brothers have cast a shadow of grief over the area.

He also mentioned that efforts are underway to bring the bodies back to Bangladesh.
