Metropolitan Police homicide detectives have formally charged three more men with murder following the targeted shooting of 42-year-old British-Bangladeshi father Masum Miah in East Ham. The charges, confirmed following custodial hearings across London magistrates’ courts on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, bring the total number of accused suspects to four. Mr Miah, an estate agent turned courier who leaves behind his grief-stricken wife and a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, suffered fatal gunshot wounds inside his stationary white Toyota Prius on St Bartholomew’s Road, East Ham, on Tuesday, 18 August.
Eighteen-year-old Friman Intasse, of High Street, Sittingbourne, Kent, appeared in custody before Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with murder. Intasse was remanded into custody to appear at the Central Criminal Court, the Old Bailey, on Friday. His appearance follows the remands of two further co-defendants secured by Scotland Yard in recent weeks. Renars Ludins, 47, of no fixed address, was charged with murder on 29 August before Bromley Magistrates’ Court. Mihai Stancu, 36, of Charlton Crescent in Barking, East London, was charged on 8 September and produced before Thames Magistrates’ Court on 9 September. Both Ludins and Stancu were remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on 17 May next year.
The three men join 40-year-old Sergiu Leahu, who was initially charged with murder in late August following an appearance at Bromley Magistrates’ Court and subsequently committed to the Old Bailey. Court records indicate Leahu, who was listed as having no fixed address at the time of charge, previously resided on Pelly Road in Plaistow, Newham. In August 2025, Leahu received a four-week custodial sentence and a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order prohibiting him from entering the City of London financial district after convictions for two counts of retail theft on Cheapside.
Specialist Crime Command detectives established that multiple live rounds were discharged at close range into Mr Miah’s stationary car, causing the vehicle to jolt and collide with a neighbouring resident's parked black Range Rover as the perpetrators fled.
