Tesla smashed to pieces in London protest against Elon Musk

A Tesla was destroyed in London on Thursday, April 10, during a protest targeting billionaire Elon Musk and his connections to former U.S. President Donald Trump.

The car, a second-hand model originally headed for the scrapyard, was deliberately wrecked as part of what the activist group Everyone Hates Elon described as a “public art piece.” According to the group, the act was designed to give people a “safe and legal” opportunity to destroy a Tesla as a symbolic protest.

The installation, which now features the smashed vehicle, is set to be auctioned, with proceeds directed toward local food banks.

A spokesperson for Everyone Hates Elon explained the motivation behind the protest: “There are more billionaires than ever before and more food banks than ever before. These two things are clearly connected.”

The demonstration reflects growing public frustration with wealth inequality and the role high-profile billionaires play in political and economic systems. The group’s aim was to use provocative performance art to draw attention to these issues in a creative but impactful way.
