BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is expected to return to the country by May 9th. On Thursday, a list of her companions for the trip went viral on social media. However, multiple sources have confirmed that her eldest daughter-in-law, Dr. Zobaida Rahman, despite being named on the list, will not be accompanying her on this return journey.
Several reliable sources have indicated that preparations are underway for Begum Khaleda Zia's return, subject to the availability of a Qatari air ambulance. The air ambulance arrangement is yet to be finalized.
Kaisar M. Ahmed, the General Secretary of the BNP's UK unit, stated that the date has not been finalized yet.
Government sources have indicated that preparations are being made regarding this matter. It is worth noting that Khaleda Zia went to London last January for advanced medical treatment. After receiving treatment at a London clinic, she has been residing at her son Tarique Rahman's residence in Kingston.
