Deadly Bus Collision in Uganda Leaves 63 Dead Amid Overtaking Accident

At least 63 people have been killed in Uganda after two buses collided.

According to police, the accident occurred on the highway between the capital, Kampala, and the northern city of Gulu. Investigators believe the buses were attempting to overtake a lorry and an SUV when they collided head-on.

In a statement, the Ugandan Police Force confirmed: “Sixty-three people lost their lives, all of them occupants of the vehicles involved.”

Following the tragedy, authorities urged drivers to be more cautious, warning that reckless overtaking remains one of the leading causes of road accidents in the country.
