A twenty-two-year-old motorist has been sentenced to more than thirteen years behind bars after using a vehicle to run down two pedestrians at high speed along a residential street in Berkshire. Mohammed Din, of Jinnah Place, Slough, appeared before Reading Crown Court on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, where a judge handed down a custodial sentence of thirteen years and eight months following his formal admission to two counts of section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.
The sentencing marks the culmination of an intensive investigation mounted by Thames Valley Police in the aftermath of a catastrophic incident that took place on the afternoon of 19 February 2025. Emergency services rushed to Littlebrook Avenue in Slough following urgent reports that a car travelling at considerable speed had struck two pedestrians before the driver accelerated away from the scene without stopping or rendering aid.
