The Home Office has arrested 105 illegal immigrants in one day across Britain. The suspects have been charged with working without right to work, presenting false immigration documents. Cash has also been seized in some places in the raids, Home Office sources have confirmed.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak visited the immigration enforcement officers in Brent, North London in the early hours of the morning.
The Home Office did not mention how many Bangladeshis among them, although it was mentioned that there are immigrants from twenty countries among those detained.
The Home Office arrested these undocumented immigrants in separate raids conducted at restaurants, salons, car washes and retail stores. Birmingham Live reported that 40 of those arrested are in the process of being sent back to their respective countries and the rest have been released on bail.
Britain's immigration lawyers consider hundreds of arrests in a nationwide operation that began last Thursday morning to be the highest number of arrests in one day.
Barrister Shuvagata Dey of Lexpert Solicitors in London told on Saturday that the fact that the British Prime Minister himself joined the operation to detain and detain 105 people in one day is proof of Britain's current strictest position against illegal immigration. Because of the raids, there is concern among Bangladeshis living in the country without valid documents or work permits and their relatives.
He further said that if those who do not have valid documents for work or residence in Britain without bringing people on new visas were granted legalization under the conditions, then Britain's economy would benefit and Britain would get more revenue from the money they earned.
