Minister Tulip Siddiq has found herself in trouble in Britain over her political stance towards Bangladesh's autocratic Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Tulip is the daughter of Sheikh Hasina's sister, Sheikh Rehana.

The British media is publishing news involving Tulip's name in the corruption allegations against Sheikh Hasina and Tulip's mother, Sheikh Rehana. Tulip has found herself in an embarrassing situation due to this.

Lokman Uddin, a veteran figure in the Bangladeshi community in Britain, told to Daily Dazzling Dawn Thursday that the Labour Party leader, who fought against apartheid in the 1970s,When Tulip first joined the local government of Britain as a councillor, she started her journey alone.

Many leaders of the UK Awami League campaigned on Tulip's behalf in the parliamentary elections. Through this, they got the opportunity to approach Sheikh Rehana and Sheikh Hasina's family. They directly influenced the Awami League and in Bangladesh many ways  as close associates of Sheikh Rehana. Although some were not direct members of the Awami League, many of them of the Bangladeshi community were introduced themselves as Tulip and Sheikh Rehana's close associates. They used to post those pictures with Tulip and Sheikh Rehana on social media. Although they took advantage,but it is not yet known whether Tulip benefited. However, Tulip Siddiq is facing fresh controversy in the controversy surrounding Awami League Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana. This female politician has found herself in an embarrassing situation. Tulip, 41, is a professional politician. She is currently working as economic secretary to the Treasury of the United Kingdom. Siddiq is a Muslim but said she is "more cultural than religious." In 2013, she married Christian Percy. She lives in Barnet with her husband. 


City minister Tulip Siddiq—who is responsible for stamping out corruption in Britain’s financial sector—is being investigated for the alleged embezzlement linked to a nuclear power plant deal in Bangladesh, reported by the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail. The country’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) launched the probe into Ms. Siddiq, her UK-based mother, Sheikh Rehana Siddiq, and her aunt, Sheikh Hasina Wazed—the ousted former prime minister of Bangladesh who ruled the country with an iron fist for more than 15 years.

The Labour Party has declined to comment.Siddiq was elected MP for Hampstead and Highgate in 2015, the north London constituency neighbouring Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer's seat of Holborn and St Pancras.

Jamal Ahmed Khan, A leader of UK Awami League party and a family friend of Ms Siddiq, said: ‘These stories are fabricated. 'These are 100 per cent politically motivated attacks against the Hasina family by the current government. 

'They are attacking Tulip because she is the niece of our honourable prime minister, Sheikh Hasina.’ 

Ms Siddiq has in the past praised her aunt as a ‘role model’, but has not publicly commented on her ousting in August.
