[caption id="attachment_1502" align="alignright" width="830"] Arman Changaz Khan Credit: BPM Media[/caption] A 'prime operator' in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin in the region has been jailed for 10 years. Officers from the force's County Lines Taskforce swooped on Arman Changaz Khan, as sat in a car in Lozells Road, on July 3, 2022, with an associate. During a search, they retrieved £1,000 in cash, two mobile phones and a quantity cocaine concealed within his underwear. Analysis of his phones showed Khan was clearly involved in the Class A supply network. Further searches were conducted and a revolver was found hidden in a bag within the engine compartment of a vehicle linked to Khan in Lozells. A thorough forensic analysis revealed Khan's fingerprints on a bag containing bullets and clingfilm around the weapon. Khan, 24, of Flight Shed Way, Northfield, admitted involvement in the supply and Class A and B drugs and possessing a firearm. He was sentenced to nine years and nine months in jail at Birmingham Crown Court last Tuesday (1 August). Sergeant Gavin McGrath, from the County Lines Taskforce, said: "We know the impact of drugs in our communities; they ruin lives and can lead to further serious crimes. "We're carrying out daily activity to help us identify, and shut down, County Lines drug networks in our region and put those responsible behind bars. "A gun in the wrong hands can be lethal and we'll respond to any information we receive to take harmful weapons off the streets."
